2011 Infiniti QX56
The QX65 is Infiniti’s largest SUV that offers seating for seven to eight passengers. For 2011, the QX has been fully redesigned to feature better handling, a larger cabin area, improved fuel economy, new technology and added refinement.
The QX56 is available in one trim with either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. It is powered by a 5.6-liter V8 engine that generates 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission and the improved EPA estimated fuel economy is 14 mpg city and 20 mpg highway.
The QX56 is equipped with multiple standard features. Standard exterior features include integrated fog lights, automatic xenon headlights, power sliding moonroof, power rear liftgate, roof rails, UV-reducing solar glass, heated outside mirrors, rain-sensing windshield wipers and an integrated tow hitch. In the interior, you will find push button start, tri-zone automatic temperature control system, full power accessories, leather appointed seating, 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat with two-way power lumbar support, eight-way power adjustable front passenger’s seat with lumbar support, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob and 60/40 split-fold flat and reclining third-row seats.
Technology is plentiful in the QX. The premium audio system features 13 speakers including two subwoofers, CD/DVD player with MP3 playback capability, 9.3GB music storage, USB connection port, satellite radio and illuminated steering-wheel mounted audio controls. The SUV also includes an eight-inch color touch-screen display, navigation system with lane guidance, 3-D graphics, real-time traffic and real time weather, Bluetooth capability and cruise control.
Beyond the standard amenities, the QX can be equipped with a wide variety of stand alone options such as a vehicle alarm impact sensor and a few optional packages. The Theater Package adds dual seven-inch color monitors for multimedia video playback, two wireless headphones, wireless remote control, auxiliary audio/video input jacks and 120-volt power outlet. The Technology Package adds numerous tech-savvy features including intelligent cruise control, lane departure warning and lane departure prevention and blind spot warning. Also available are the Split Bench Seat Package and the Deluxe Touring Package.
With safety in mind, the QX uses a safety shield with layered technology to provide both safety and convenience. To help minimize injuries if a collision occurs the SUV utilizes zone body construction, advanced airbag system, active head restraints, front seat belts with pretensioners and seat belt reminders.
The QX features a luxurious cabin full of convenience, versatility and comfort. The interior is trimmed with leather and rich wood materials along with plenty of compartments for storage. The spacious cabin expands when folding the second and third row seats to a spacious 112 cubic feet, making cargo capabilities endless.
